With different approximate methods are estimated the<br />values of the area of the fault, of the dislocation, of the stress drop and of<br />the seismic moment of the Friuli earthquake of May 6th, 1976. Some considerations<br />follow on the possibility to forecast the earthquake and on its<br />relation to the subsequent event of September 11th.
