Deskripsi

The objective was to establish the psychometric properties of the AF-5 instrument, by means of confirmatory analysis techniques in teacher training students. A total of 232 students enrolled in a teacher-training institution in southern Sonora State participated in the study. Their ages ranged from 17 to 43 years, 54.7% female (M=20.3, SD=1.8 years) and 45.3% male (M=20.4, SD=2.2 years). From the analyses performed, it is confirmed that the Scale is adequate to measure multidimensional self-concept through the academic (α=.76), social (α=.71), emotional (α=.86), physical (α=.72) and family (α=.49) factors [X2= 665.725, p<.000; CFI= .90; TLI= .88; RMSEA= .05; SRMR= .07]. All the factors presented high and significant latent variances and factor loadings. The pentadimensional structure was maintained with a total consistency of α= .84. The results confirm the robustness of the factorial solution and the validity of the instrument in the evaluation of the multidimensional self-concept in teacher training students.
