Is the sociology of inequalities still alive and has it stayed faithful to its origins (Marx, Durkheim, Weber, Parsons)? Based on the assumption that inequalities seem to serve more as a background rather than being sociologically themed, I will interrogate the origin of common injustice feelings. With Hannah Arendt and Cornelius Castoriadis’ ideas I state that it’s the institutions that nourish those feelings. It is institutions and organizations that, when defining their principles of action in society and towards individuals, establish norms of justice. These same norms nourish justice feelings, as well as they define action limitations. When articulating the dynamics to one another, we can extricate structuring and inequalities reproduction patterns.
