Nowadays, Halal Tourism has become a popular and interesting term for several regions, including Indonesia, which ispredominantly Muslim. Its role can have a positive impact on economic development, mak ing halal tourism needs to be developed. In Indonesia, the Province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is the most potential region in developing this field, based on awards related to Halal Tourism which are ever achieved. This study aims to review the strengths, weak nesses, opportunities, and threats of the Halal Tourism of NTB Province, through the SWOT Analysis Method. The results show that strong local government encouragement, the availability of various k inds of destinations and praying facilities, also the closeness of NTB's community orientation to Islam are the basis of its strengths. The weak nesses are the lack of business related to tourism that is halal certified andthe provision of services for tourists has still not done optimally yet. While the opportunities are relatively easy to access for tourists to visit NTB and the support of the central government. Then for the threats, there are "competitor" countries thatalso develop Halal Tourism, the possibility of getti n g in incompatible cultural and negative attitudes related to the environmental sustainability of tourists, as wel l a s natural disaster. By preparing and applying strategies based on the results of the analysis, NTB is expected to be better in developing Halal Tourism in order to advance the economic condition and can be a bench ma rk fo r other provinces in advancing this field.
