This review deals with a survey of hop substances with estrogenic effect, their structures, biosynthesis and their fate during brewing process.Main attention was done to 8-prenylnaringenin and its precursor - desmethylxanthohumol. Determination of these substances and determination of their estrogenic effects is discussed in this paper.
