“Day of Russian culture” in Russian first-wave emigration communities Based upon the materials of émigré press, the article is devoted to the celebration of a yearly Day of Russian culture in Russian expatriate communities of the 1920s and 1930s, a festive occasion which acquired special significance in the spiritual and cultural life of émigré Russians. Cultural events which took place in Paris, Berlin and Harbin are given special coverage. Days of Russian culture are associated with the name of Pushkin, a symbol of lost motherland and a key personality of Russian first-wave émigré culture.
