Deskripsi
The article aims to present a proposal to analyze the specificity of contemporary Brazilian urban violence based on the notion of violent sociability. To do that, the concept is taken as a deregulated form of physical force deployment for criminal purposes, with impact on the possibilities of legitimation required for social actions. Two analytical possibilities result from this operation: it advances its own understanding of violent sociability as an explanatory element; it allows the analysis of the Brazilian crime from the consideration of different guidance modes of conduct, exposing a normatively fragmented society.
