Report on the genus Herdonia Walker (Lepidoptera: Thyrididae) in Karnataka Western Ghats, India

Deskripsi
<p>Genus <em>Herdonia</em> comprises more than 34 species worldwide. Only one species <em>H. osacesalis </em>have been recorded from northeastern states in Darjeeling, West Bengal and Meghalaya. In our recent surveys in Chettalli, Kodagu, Karnataka we have collected <em>H. thaiensis. </em>This is the first documentation of range extension of both the genus <em>Herdonia </em>and the species <em>H</em>. <em>thaiensis </em>to the Western Ghats (Kodagu, Karnataka) of peninsular India.</p><div> </div>
