Deskripsi
Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (AHE) is uncommon benign inflammatory disease that is characterized with incorrect vascular proliferation with prevalent eosinophilia and/or other inflammatory cells infiltration on the vascular border. The main cause of this pathology is not well known however the main etiological factor was thought as trauma and reactive hyperplasia due to this trauma. Face especially auricula is the most common localization in the head and neck region. Varied treatment modalities were used (surgical excision, laser ablation, cryotherapy and local steroid injections) for these lesions which is mostly presented as itching, bleeding plaque or nodule. In spite of these treatment methods incidence of the recurrence is very high. In this article, we discuss a patient diagnosed as auricular AHE and treated with CO2 laser ablation with the current literature.
