The objective of the paper is the examination of the sustainability performance of the main companies in the oil and gas industry in Romania. The analysis was performed using the multicriteria decisions method (MCDA), with criteria of equal importance. The selected companies were described and then analyzed, based on their most relevant sustainability indicators. According to the results obtained, the most sustainable companies were identified, providing a significant overview of the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry in Romania.
