Deskripsi

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of breath's thinking skill with emphasis on Edward De Bono’s method (CORT) on problem solving skills and subjective well-being. The research method was semi-experimental with pretest-posttest with control group design. The sample included 20 female students from the University of Birjand. The research sample was selected from available students. Experimental and control groups was matched by students' field of study and the year of entering. The data gathered by the Oxford Happiness and Problem Solving Skills Questionnaires  and the t-minus test was used for the research hypotheses. The results showed subtracting the post-test scores from the pre-test scores in the experimental group was  significantly higher than control group, both in subjective well-being  and problem solving methods (p<0.05). These results show the breath's thinking skill with emphasis on Edward De Bono’s method can serve as a training method to increase the skills of problem solving and, thereby, subjective well-being.
