Starting from Marcuse’s notion of «affirmative culture» this short essay examines the role of poetry in its persisting cultural alienation after the shady Avantgarde experience. According to the author Hölderlin is one of the main characters of a double-bind historical time, defining itself as «crisis of poetry» and «poetry of crisis».
