In the title compound, C14H7F2NO2, the phthalimide ring system is nearly planar [maximum atomic deviation = 0.028 (1) Å] and it is twisted with respect to the attached benzene ring, making a dihedral angle of 55.70 (6)°. Weak intermolecular C—H...F hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.
