The Islamic Jurists have derived the principles of Islamic Jurisprudence from the Quran and Sunnah. These principles provide a guideline for solving the newly emerging problems. As per Islamic Juresprudence, in the interpretation and understanding of any issue, where texts are considered, objectives of Shariah are also taken into account. And the fact is that ordenence or issue are interpreted which taking help from law on surface level, confusion is created. In this perspective, Islamic jurists have compiled the legal maxim kay-k (Needs and Utility).The Needs are superiors than utilities. They have different applications. In these lines the definitions, kinds, limitations and conditions. On the present study, the philosophy of Utility and Needs have been analysedin a scholarly manner.
