Deskripsi

The basic principle of the economic system of Islam is to earn money by using fair means and to utilize it in right way as per need. It promotes the idea of earning money through (lawful) efforts, instead of generating wealth from wealth. Its nature is to circulate wealth instead of accumulating it. In this regards, the distribution of wealth is an important chapter of the Islamic system of wealth circulation. Islam has framed a balanced, just and equitable law, based on the well being of the humanity. Wealth will not be confined to only few family members. Children, parents and spouse have been declared as compulsory shareholders in inheritance. The other relatives have also been granted their share as per specific detennined condition according to the knowledge of Allah Almighty. Wise principles have been chalked out to determine shares of the inheriters in different conditions. That is why, due to some specific reasons and conditions, even the legal inheriters have been completely deprived of their right of inheritance. In the science of inheritance, these conditions and reasons are conventionally called obstacles in inheritance. The given article discusses the reality of these obstacles and an effort has been made to explain the wisdom and philosophy behind it.
