Mandibular fracture in the very young children is rare, and may present with significant diagnostic and treatment decision-making challenges to the clinicians. This study aims to explore the issues in treating fractures in developing mandible and discusses the treatment of a one-year-old who sustained a mandibular fracture. We provide some relevant practical diagnostic and surgical tips.
