Abstract This resource is a booklet designed to assist students in understanding the basic principles of suturing. It contains many commonly-performed surgical activities. Though this book is entirely self-explanatory, instructors should first explain and demonstrate the procedures to surgical trainees. It is recommended that after the instructor demonstrates the procedure, participants should practice it 10 times. All models created in this booklet are low cost and simple. They can be prepared with easily available materials. Each task takes 15–20 minutes and the recommended time for the whole resource is 2 to 2.5 hours. It requires a small room with a table and good lighting. This booklet will assist students in not only understanding surgical skills in a stepwise manner, but will also help them practice independently.
