The institute of responsibility of bodies and officials of local self-government is considered and locates in this article by the author. The author types of legal responsibility of bodies and officials of local government bodies and urgent sales problems of responsibility in practice reveal. In this work as the author suggestions for improvement of the current legislation regulating the legal basis of responsibility of local self-government are given.
