In the title compound, C15H15NO4, the n-methylpiperidone ring adopts a chair conformation and both five-membered rings adopt a twist conformation. An intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond is observed. Inversion-related molecules are linked into R22(10) dimers by pairs of O—H...O hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C—H...O hydrogen bonds.
