An analytical expression for the moisture content distribution,<br />in a problem of one dimensional vertical groundwater recharge, has<br />been obtained by using the Laplace transform method. The average diffusivity coefficient over the whole range of moisture content is regarded as constant, and a linear variation of permeability with moisture content is assumed.
