University, Curriculum and Curricular Guidelines in Law Faculties

In this article, the authors make a brief analysis about the curriculum problematic and curricular guidelines, for the bachelorship in Law, established by the Higher Education Board of the National Education Council – CES/CNE, under the Resolution No 9 of the 29th of September, 2004. With effect, the curriculum and the curricular guidelines for teaching Law gain capital importance for the conduction of the Higher Education Guidelines concerning the juridical teaching in Brazil. They form a concern for all the scientific, academic and professional community in addition to the Brazilian State, society and the authorities responsible for the curricular definitions and decisions in the juridical-educational standardization field. Thus, the objective of this analysis is to present the educational, pedagogical, ethical, juridical and, above all, philosophical aspects of the juridical curriculum and its guidelines for the bachelorship in Law. It is also discussed the role and importance of the university in the curricular implementation in teaching Law, aiming at the development and proposition of new curricular paradigms for the Law faculty.
