The aim of the research is the development of a methodical approach to justifying directions of association interaction of agricultural enterprises for the most effective technical and technological support of their economic activities. It is substantiated that the decision-making regarding the directions of group interaction in the field of forming and using the machine and tractor fleet of agricultural enterprises should be based on results of a strategic analysis of the current level of and trends in the changes in indicators of their technical support. This includes several stages: 1) determining a scenario for the development of the technical base of the economic entity (matrix methods); 2) multifactor grouping taking into account the available equipment and resource potential; 3) identification of potential sources of financing and ways of attracting necessary funds, priority partners and types of equipment and technologies; 4) estimation of a current condition of the enterprise on financial, technical, economic and market criteria; 5) substantiation of directions of group interaction of the enterprise.
