Clonidine is one of the commonly used pharmacological agents for growth hormone stimulation. It is considered generally safe, with only few non-serious reported side effects. Herein, we report a case of an 8 -years-old girl who became unresponsive with poor perfusion and no palpable pulse for 10 seconds, immediately post receiving Arginine for Growth Hormone Stimulation testing, and almost 120 minutes after receiving Clonidine for Growth Hormone Stimulation testing. Serious morbidities that could result in mortality have never been reported as adverse events during Clonidine stimulation. It is important to be aware of this rare complication and closely observe any patients undergoing growth hormone stimulation test with Clonidine.
