Lipoblastoma is a rare, benign, lipomatous soft tissue tumor that occurs in infants and very young children. We report the application of sonography in detection of a pathologically proven submandibular lipoblastoma in an 8-month-old boy. The sonographic feature of the tumor was described and correlated with the pathological findings.
