Deskripsi
The author of the study interprets a novel by Ján Hrušovský Muž s protézou (The Man with Prothesis). His interpretation is done in the context and literary and philosophical code of Modernism. There is a very complicated game of shiftings among a figurative and literally a rhetoric regime in the text of the novel. Lexemas of heart and prothesis are alternately distributed into them. There are also cultural codes which are put on them in layers: by a medical code and by a code of phrasemas. The previous disjunction of Seeborn´s prothesis and his ill heart from medical discourse within the literal regime is transformed to their conjuction in figurative regime (amputation of his ability to feel). The term ill heart functions in tertiary semantic opposition as a mediator between oppositions of heart and prothesis and it is transcribed into syntagmatic axis generating by this way the structure of correction: reflection is always an answers to his suppurated emotions, it is a kind of prothesis that make a certain correction of his feelings. After such a rhetoric analysis the author of the study models a text constitution of the subject as well as tropois, which generate it. There is a thematic transformation of the subject - from an autonomic one, who handles the strategic enticing game into depending subject, without free will, acting under the dictatorship of the principle of existence: there are also presented philosophical Modernistic contexts of such a dependence of the subject (Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, psychoanalysis, Marxism).
