Kasakhstania romadinae L. Arnoldi, 1960, the first representative of the tribe Mesostylini in the fauna of Russia

Deskripsi

The weevil Kasakhstania romadinae L. Arnoldi, 1960 is the first representative of the tribe Mesostylini in the fauna of Russia which was found in Astrakhan Region. Earlier this species was known only by the type specimens from the Ural River valley in Western Kazakhstan. The species occurs in sand Artemisia habitats. Additionally four new for Astrakhan Region species of Curculionidae were found: Allomalia pr. setulosa (Tournier, 1868), Mecinus marina Korotyaev, 1984, Conorhynchus lacerta Chevrolat, 1873 and Bagous minutissimus Faust, 1887. These species were known from the border regions of Kalmykia.
