This vignette recounts the work of the A to Z Literacy Movement, which provides literacy support in terms of books for children and professional development for the adults who work with them, connecting local schools to schools in Zambia. This specific project worked to connect middle school students with elementary school students through book clubs, in which the middle school students would read aloud a multicultural text and lead lessons or activities with elementary school students to critically engage with the text.
