<p><span style="font-size: 12px; font-family: Arial;">La década de los sesenta marcó decisivamente las posteriores décadas, por tal razón se hace necesario reflexionar sobre la historia del tiempo presente y pensar en la historia de un pasado que no está muerto, un pasado que aún es llevado por la palabra y las experiencias de individuos vivos, y que están singularmente impregnados de aquel pasado. La ilusión de los sesenta, que se avanzaba hacia la tierra prometida, obnubiló la visión, minimizando el accionar de una derecha aterrorizada que apoyada por EEUU, estuvieron dispuestos sin problemas a apartarse del sistema democrático. En la izquierda primaron tanto los nobles deseos de una sociedad más justa, como un voluntarismo radical, dejando atrás una tradición de avances reformistas. La democracia por imperfecta que pudiera ser era, sin lugar a dudas, sustantivamente mejor que lo ocurrido durante los largos años de la dictadura autoritaria.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial;">_______________________</span></p><p><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;">ABSTRACT:</span></strong></p><p>The 1970s marked decisively the following decades, making it necessary to reflect on the history of the present and consider the history of a past that far from being dead, is still transmitted through narration and the experiences of living individuals who are deeply embedded in that past. The illusion of the seventies, one of approaching the promised land, clouded the Left’s vision, preventing it from noting the triggering of a terrorized Right which, with the support of the U.S., was willing to drift away from the democratic system without contemplation. In the left it was as much the noble wish for a more just society as a radical voluntarism that prevailed, leaving behind a tradition of reformist progresses. Democracy, as imperfect as it could have been was, without the shadow of a doubt, substantively better than what occurred during the long years of authoritarian dictatorship.</p>
