This study proposes a retinopathy prediction system based on data mining,particularly association rules using Apriori algorithm, and case-based reasoning. The association rules are used to analyse patterns in the data set and to calculate retinopathy probability whereas case-based reasoning is used to retrieve similar cases. This paper discusses the proposed system. It is believed that great improvements can be provided to medical practitioners and also to diabetics with the implementation of this system.
