Two new coordination polymers, namely {[(CH3)2NH2]2[Cd2(btec)1.5]}n (1) and [Cu3(μ2-OH)2(btec)]n (2) (H4btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid) were solvothermally synthesized and structurally determined by a series of characterization techniques. These compounds not only have high thermal stability but also exhibit remarkable photocatalytic activities for the degradation of methyl blue under UV light illumination. The prevent and treatment activity of the new compound on osteoarthritis was determined in this research. Firstly, the ELISA assay was conducted to measure the content of estrogen released into the plasma after compound treatment. In addition to this, the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway was also determined with the real time RT-PCR assay.
