Statistical investigation of the relationship between scientific value and the global value of the geosites in the Oltina Plateau. Geosites are essentially portions of the geosphere which have a particular importance (scientific, aesthetic, ecological, cultural etc.), acquired by the human perception and exploitation. The geosite inventory and assessment methodology takes into account that the scientific value of geosites can not be null. Also, the global value is dependent on scientific value. In this paper we intend to demonstrate statistically the connection between the scientific and the global value of the geosites located in the South-West part of South Dobrudja, known as the Oltina Plateau.
