Congenital cataract surgery could cause more complications, such as glaucoma, high intraocular pressure, iris adhesion, cystic mechanization<i> etc</i>. Among the complications, glaucoma could cause irreversible damage to optic nerve, which should be highly concerned by clinicians. However, it was difficult to obtain reliable data for the diagnosis of visual field and optic nerve damage in patients with congenital cataract. Therefore, accurate measurement of intraocular pressure was important for glaucoma diagnosis. Postoperative variation of corneal thickness was often found in congenital cataract, leading to inaccurate measurement of intraocular pressure. The article introduced the changes of central corneal thickness(CCT), intraocular pressure(IOP)and causes of variations after congenital cataract surgery.
