The current knowledge of landforms of the state of Veracruz required updating. Small-scale classification of Mexican relief (Lugo and Córdova, 1990a; 1992) was followed to elaborate a geomorphological map at a scale of 1: 1 000 000, which includes 37 units, belonging to six geomorphological provinces and nine subprovinces.
