Deskripsi
We have analysed time series covering 30 years (1974-2003) of air temperature observations in the stand of the Hartheim pine forest (South-west Germany): daily mean values, daily maxima and minima and the diurnal range. These data, in form of monthly averages, are compared with the air temperature measurements of the Eschbach site (Deutscher Wetterdienst), which is situated in open country nearby. We discuss the differences between these two sites with particular reference to the development of the pine stand (tree height and stand density). The greatest influence upon the temperature development at both sites is that produced by oscillations of the weather. The respective curves generally run parallel to one another. The weather fluctuations are represented by the monthly mean wind at the 500 hPa level. The temperature properties of both sites Hartheim and Eschbach considered here converged during the 30-year period of observation, so that today they no longer present any notable differences.
