KPC-producing Enterobacterales with uncommon carbapenem susceptibility profile in Vitek 2 system

KPC-producing K. pneumoniae is an endemic challenge. Seven KPC-producing Enterobacterales showed unusual carbapenems susceptibility profile. These strains were resistance at least one carbapenem and the ertapenem MIC was lower than imipenem and/or meropenem MICs using Vitek 2™ system (bioMerieux).
