Spirometry is a simple and valuable tool in the evaluation of Pulmonary Function testing in children with respiratory symptoms. Training and refresher courses may produce and maintain good-quality testing, promote the use of spirometrie results in clinical practice and enhance the quality of interpretation. The use of correct ethnic reference equations is essential for comparative results.
